FAQ’s

Q. What is needed to come see a patient?

A. Patients can call for a consultation. Referal sources can fax me the patients Face Sheet so I can verify insurance and have all the pertinent information to bill their insurance and contact their doctor.

Q. What insurance’s do you accept?

A. Currently I am a Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and Anthem provider.

Q. How soon can you evaluate a client?

A. Normally it is one to two days.

Q. How long does it take to get a device?

A. The normal turn around it one to two weeks, depending on the device. Some times it is quicker. I strive to fit the client as soon as the device is ready.

Q. Can a brace be fit in a SNF?

A. If the client is still on part A the facility must pay.  If the client is on part B I can bill Medicare directly for a brace. ***Prosthetics can be fit any time during their stay.

Q. What kind of schooling do you have?

A.  I have a bachelors from Purdue and a Certificate in Orthotics from

Northwestern

University

.  I am Board certified in Orthotics and Prosthetics.  I belong to the American Orthotics and Prosthetics Association and the

American

Academy

of Orthotist and Prosthetist.  I have over 10 years of experience in this field.

Q. Can clients come to your office or do you only come to their home?

A. I can do either. Whatever the client prefers. I have a office on

Klondike

Road, West Lafayette, Indiana, to accommodate patients.  They would just need to call to schedule an appointment.

In-Home Prosthetic and Orthotic Services

Traditionally, artificial limbs and custom braces have been provided in fixed facilities. For many patients, multiple trips to a facility are difficult, if not impossible.  This is especially true of the patients who live outside of the major metropolitan areas and do not have their own transportation. It is inconvenient for a relative or friend to frequently leave work to bring the patient in for office visits.

The practitioners and staff at Mobile Limb & Brace believe that creating a rapport with the patient is easier in the patient’s home than in the clinical environment.  In a person’s home you are surrounded by clues and information about the patient and their lifestyle. We get to know the rest of the family, including the dog, the cat, the snake or even the occasional hybrid wolf.  We care deeply that we do our best for our patients because of the personal quality of the relationship we have with each one.
